CHEARSLEY PARISH COUNCIL

DRAFT MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
HELD ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 14TH 2011 IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.30 .PM.

1. PRESENT
Cllrs Brown, Edmonds Heybrook, Cllr Mrs Lazaruk, Lewis, Mrs Towell, 7 members of the public, Parish Clerk,

3. PUBLIC SESSION (SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS)Mrs Tillier advised the meeting that the shop was to re-open on Saturday 19th November.
It was reported that there had been motorbikes disrupting the Remembrance Day service.  Police to be asked to attend next year.

5. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
The Meeting to discuss the Vales of Aylesbury Plan has been arranged for 28th November

6. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
Turnip Close – new dwelling – rejected.
The Birches, Watts Green Velux windows-  no objection
Tree works-   there was considerable discussion about the trees on the Green, the Walnut tree by the telephone box and the Chestnut tree on the Winchendon Rd island.

1. Sycamores opposite pub.
Cllrs Edmonds and Mrs Towell proposed that the sycamores should be pollarded for maintenance.   Cllr Heybrook proposed removing the diseased tree next to stump and pollarding the other one. Planning consent to be applied for the above

2. Hornbeams and Walnut to be pollarded and chestnut to be maintained.

7. HIGHWAYS AND OPEN AREAS
A complaint has been received from Mrs Tillier about the state of the path especially as the shop is to re-open which will mean it is used more. To be reviewed at annual Parish Meeting.

8. REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Thanks to Richard Grimsdell for laying the wreath on behalf of the village.

9. FINANCIAL MATTERS

10. SUMMARY AND SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS
The public meeting to discuss the Vale Plan has been arranged for the 28th November.
Select Committee will be making recommendations re HS2 before Christmas.

Cllr Mrs Lazaruk advised the meeting that there had been a fire at Dinton School and a planning application had been submitted for rebuilding.

The Parish Council will circulate leaflet regarding Jubilee Celebrations /Olympics and or Fete.

It was confirmed that two more quotes would be needed for tree works.
