DRAFT MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
HELD ON MONDAY MARCH 14TH 2011 IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.30P.M.
1. PRESENT
Cllrs Brown, Edmonds, Hytten Mrs Dormer, Miss Gibson, Mrs Towell, Mrs Timberlake and District Councillor Smith, Mrs Marion Grapes. 10 members of the public, Parish Clerk.
2. APOLOGIES

3. PUBLIC SESSION (SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS) 15 MINUTES MAXIMUM
Mr Michael Heybrook advised the meeting that the lease on the Millennium Playing field had expired. And the sign on the gate would be stored until the Parish council decided what they would do with it. The Chairman thanked Mr Heybrook for the use of the field and said the Parish Council would discuss sign at a later date.
Salt Bins. The salt bin opposite the School has been moved down Dark Lane nearer footpath. Mrs Tillier requested that it be replaced outside her house. The Chairman advised her was in hand.
Mrs Lazaruk said benches on the Green had been much appreciated but would need to be treated again. The Chairman advised her that they would be repainted in the autumn. The picnic table by war memorial had been moved from Stockwell as the residents in Church Lane had complained when it had been put by Stockwell.
Royal wedding. The Parish Council has agreed to pay for commemorative mugs for children under 11.

Community led planning - Annual Parish Meeting Agenda
Wind turbine at Dinton – to be monitored
Michaelmas cottage removal of Elder Tree- no objection.
Waste Recycling Centre on Long Crendon Industrial Estate. Ms Gibson will attend planning meeting.
Tree pollarding - the trees on the Green and the Chestnut tree on the Winchendon Road need attention.
7. AGENDA ITEMS FOR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND GENERAL PROCEDURES
Meeting will be held on the 11th April.
8. HIGHWAYS AND OPEN AREAS
Mrs Grapes reported 0n a Meeting held with the Chairman and Dave Smith of Highways regarding the bid for funding for traffic calming. An application has been submitted for a moveable speed indicator sign like the one at Cuddington which can be used in five different locations and is reversible, red strips on the roads and a 30 MPH sign painted on the road. The removable system is still on trial and will need to be approved by the Council’s Head of transportation, which might take several months. More money has become available, and a retrospective application has been submitted for grit bins and footpath on the Green. The Chairman thanked Mrs Grapes and advised the meeting that Cllr Hytten would attend the next Local Area Forum meeting on behalf of the Parish council.

11. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
The Barn Owl project is looking for additional sites. Mr Bown of Chearsley House, Church lane, agreed to have nest boxes.
The resurfacing of the road between Cuddington and Chearsley will be done in April. The pipe under the road was blocked and has now been cleared. Mrs Towell pointed out that there were no ‘Road Failed’ warning signs.
