DRAFT MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
HELD ON MONDAY DECEMBER 8TH 2008 IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.30P.M.

1. PRESENT

Cllrs Cllr Brown Mrs Dormer, Miss Gibson, Hytten, Mrs Timberlake, 2 members of the public, Parish Clerk.

2. APOLOGIES

3. BUDGET DISCUSSION

Grant to Hall – it was agreed that this should be withheld again in the next financial year, but the Trust be invited to submit an application at the Annual Parish Meeting

Clerk – hourly rate to be raised to £ 8.50

Millennium field grass cutting - A site meeting had been agreed at the Previous meeting and Cllr Edmonds offered to send his son in with the Topper – the chairman thanked him for his generosity

In view of the level of the reserves, Cllr Edmonds proposed reducing the precept by £1000.00 to £5,500.00
The Chairman proposed leaving it the same as the previous year.

Cllr Hytten proposed a small reduction bringing it down to £ 6,000.00 All agreed.

DRAFT MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
HELD ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 24TH 2008 IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.30P.M.

1. PRESENT

Cllrs, Mrs Dormer, Miss Gibson, Hytten, District Councillor Smith, Police representative, 6 members of the public, Parish Clerk.

2. APOLOGIES

Cllr Brown, Cllrs Mmes Timberlake and Towell
Cllr Hytten took the chair in the absence of the Chairman


3. PUBLIC SESSION (SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS) 15 MINUTES MAXIMUM

Mrs Tillier reported the salt bin opposite the old school was damaged and had not been filled. This is because there is often a parked car by the bin – Highways to be asked if it can be moved.

Hedge between cricket ground and Chilton Villas has been cut back. More needs to be taken off.

Comments were passed re the condition of the recreation ground.

Copies of minutes and agenda were requested on the chairs prior to meeting. This was done.


4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OCTOBER 27TH 2008

Agreed as a true record. Proposed Cllr Hytten seconded Cllr Mrs Dormer

5. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES

Parking in Dark Lane - the Parish Council had previously decided that the cost of this project was prohibitive.

Broken footpath sign off Cuddington o road has been reported.

Kerbing grant to be re- applied for from Highways

Needlemakers works – a letter has been received from the Planning department saying no unauthorised work has been carried out.

A Land registry search to be submitted for land by the telephone box.


6. OTHER VILLAGE MATTERS

Millennium Recreation ground- the condition was raised in the adjournment. Cllrs Brown and Hytten to arrange site meeting with the complainant- see adjournment

A complaint has been received about the damage to the bank opposite the Pightle in Church lane were building work is being carried out. Occupants to be asked to make good the damage when work is completed.

7. HIGHWAYS

Covered in the adjournment.

8. PLANNING

Regency Cottage – double detached garage with storage room above- WITHDRAWN
The Pightle- letter from Planning and resubmission of application- this has now been approved.
Prospect Cottage – rear extension- refused
Needlemakers- fell one ash tree
