DRAFT MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
HELD ON MONDAY JULY 27TH IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.30P.M.

1. PRESENT
Cllrs Mrs Dormer, Edmonds, Miss Gibson, Hytten, Mrs Towell, ,Mrs Timberlake District Councillor Smith, 3 members of the public, Parish Clerk.

2. APOLOGIES
Cllr Brown, Cllr Hytten in the chair.

3. PUBLIC SESSION (SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS) 15 MINUTES MAXIMUM
Speeding - to be pursued with Police
Light outside bungalows – to be pursued with electricity

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
Stockwell. A contractor, Mr Tom Edmunds has been suggested. Cllr Mrs Timberlake will contact him.
There are potholes outside the pub and on the Winchendon road which will be reported.

5. LANES AND HIGHWAYS
Grit bins will be repaired before winter.
There will be no further action re dog bins at present
AVDC have repaired the signs at Manor Villas and Church Piece.
Tug of War with Cuddington - deferred.

9. SUMMARY AND SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS
Proposed incinerator at Calvert - there was some discussion about the plans, and Cllr Mrs Towell suggested the PC looked at an existing one in action.
It was noted that flood warnings are now available on the Environmental Agency Website

Stockwell. A contractor, Mr Tom Edmunds has been suggested.

Next meeting.

Cuddington Road potholes in hand.

The Trust has agreed to a grant of £ 90.00 towards preliminary work.

Churchill Lorries have lost contract so will not be passing through for the moment.

6. APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVES TO COMMITTEES AND CONSULTATIVE GROUPS
Village Hall Management Committee: Cllr Edmonds suggested Cllr Mrs Dormer, seconded Cllr Mrs Towell all agreed.

Kerbing gap by Church to be discussed with Highways – Cllr Brown will arrange a site meeting.

Furze Farm extension - passed

External auditors have signed off on the accounts. Comments were reviewed and action agreed.

3. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN
Cllr Miss Gibson proposed Cllr Brown, Cllr Mrs Towell seconded. All agreed.
Declaration of acceptance of office was signed

4. ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN
Cllr Brown proposed Cllr Hytten, seconded Cllr Mrs Timberlake, all agreed. Declaration of acceptance of office was signed

5. PUBLIC SESSION (SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS) 15 MINUTES MAXIMUM
A kissing gate has been replaced on the Aylesbury road, supplied by county and installed by property owners

7. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES

Stockwell : The Trust has agreed to a grant of £ 90.00 towards preliminary work.
Cllr Mrs Timberlake also reported that she had received quotes for the path across the green, and had submitted a grant application to be decided in June

Cllr Hytten proposed a web cam on the Green. There was some discussion about this- 3 for and 3 against.

Grit bins to be replaced/repaired- next agenda

Road to Cuddington- Cllr Edmonds advised the meeting that repairs were in hand.

Michaelmas cottage have had a visit from the Planning department regarding their comments on Dieudonne Dark Lane.

A letter has been received from Mrs Tillier regarding the Millennium field . It was noted that the field had been leveled and mowed. The Clerk has answered Mrs Tilliers comments.
Mrs Tillier suggested a survey of usage which the Parish Council decided was not appropriate at present.

15. SUMMARY AND SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS
Mrs Timberlake suggested looking into the ‘Ambulance Community responder scheme- she willl bring more information to next meeting

Reports have been received of care nurses speeding in the village. This will be reported.

Cllr Brown revived the matter of the Cuddington Tug of war – he will investigate further

A letter has been sent to the owner of Hawsbridge farm by Highways asking him to make good the damage to the bank opposite his barns. A second letter will be sent if no action is taken.
