THESE PAPERS CAN BE RETURNED TO THE GATEWAY, GATEHOUSE ROAD, AYLESBURY HP19 8FF, BETWEEN 21ST MARCH AND 12 NOON ON THE 4TH APRIL.
CANDIDATES ARE REQUESTED TO RETURN THEIR NOMINATION PAPER AND CONSENT FORM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER 21ST MARCH, TO ALLOW A SECOND NOMINATION PAPER TO BE COMPLETED IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE FIRST ONE.

DRAFT MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
HELD ON MONDAY FEBRUARY 14TH 2011 IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.30P.M.
1. PRESENT
Cllrs Brown, Cllr Hytten Mrs Dormer, Edmonds, Miss Gibson, Mrs Towell, 8 members of the public, Parish Clerk,

Mrs Timberlake and District Councillor Smith.
3. PUBLIC SESSION (SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS) 15 MINUTES MAXIMUM
Grit Bins. The one opposite the School has been moved down Dark Lane nearer footpath. Bins will be re-treated in the autumn.
Pot holes in Dark Lane are reported as getting worse. The Chairman is having a meeting with Dave Smith of Highways to discuss various highways issues next month and will raise this.
The matter of the party to celebrate the Royal Wedding was raised. There was some discussion about the day on which it was to be held. Cllr Ms Gibson has booked the Hall for the Saturday afternoon. It was noted that this was not a Parish Council event but would be supported by the Parish Council.
Mrs Morbey asked for confirmation that there would be no grant to the Village Hall this year, and received it.
There is inconsiderate parking in the Dark Lane and Watts Green area which makes passage of delivery vehicles etc difficult.

Traffic calming strips results have been received and Chearsley is eligible for additional traffic calming measures and this will be pursued. The Chairman thanked Mrs Grapes and Mrs Lazaruk for their work. Cllr Ms Gibson suggested that some steps be cut into bank at the bottom of the footpath starting on the corner of Dark Lane/Shupps Lane going towards railway line.
A quote has been obtained for the restoring of the path across the Green of £ 3150 .00 Grants have been applied for and Highways will be consulted.
Derek Allen has offered to take responsibility for Stockwell. The Chairman expressed the thanks of the Parish Council.
Concrete Posts near shop need replacing. A quote is to be obtained for steps going up behind salt bin at the elbow of Church Lane and Shupps Lane where the bank is slippery.

DRAFT MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
HELD ON MONDAY JANUARY 10TH 2011 IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.30P.M.

The barrier at the Aylesbury Road end of Lammas Path is damaged.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES NOVEMBER 2010
Cllr Edmonds was not at the meeting. After amendment, minutes agreed as a true record

Cllr Mrs Dormer attended Aylesbury Vale Planning Meeting – Councillor Edmonds proposed putting the new Consultation process on the Agenda of the Annual Parish meeting, and inviting a Planning Officer to address the meeting.
Cllr Mrs Towell reported that Naleek in Church Lane was on the market described as a five bedroom home, although there had been restrictions when the property was extended as to the use of the attic space. Clerk to check.
7. HIGHWAYS AND OPEN AREAS
Traffic calming strips were put in four days before the snowfall, so results were not very clear. They will be put back on 17th Jan for a further two weeks.

Cllr Mrs Towell raised the matter of the damaged road surface on the Aylesbury Road and the serious pothole on the Crendon Road. Highways to be advised.
Cllr Miss Gibson reported that the Christmas tree had been a great success and proposed a vote of thanks to Sonia and Nigel Timberlake and Paul Oliver for the work they put in.
The Chairman reported that the seats on the green were coming.
The Tea rooms are to close at the beginning of January and it was agreed that the Parish Council would buy two of the benches for walkers. After some discussion this was agreed 4 votes to 1
Village Green path. Quotes to be chased.
Cllr Ms Gibson reported that the Hall had been booked for a Royal Wedding Tea party for the Children of the village on the Saturday after the wedding, and mugs should be presented to the children attending
Cllr Mrs Dormer reported that the Village Hall AGM was on the 15th November
